February 2021 IPSY Glam Bag Plus Unboxing

Hey hey, it’s MJ,

So this month has been crazy, we have had a week and a half of remote learning because of snow and ice which is not a usual thing in the south. I took some time off because I needed it and I could really take another week or two off and still feel like I still needed more time but I’m doing this anyway because I enjoy writing posts and hanging out on here but at the moment I am just tired. I know everyone else is just as tired or more tired than I am but we are all living through back to back to back historical events and it’s all just a lot to handle.

The Bag:

The drawstring bags are really starting to grow on me and to be honest I love the metallic lips all over the bag. I feel like I can’t say much about the bag this time because the products are more important than the bag itself even though it’s still pretty cool.

The Products:

Goldfaden MD Vital Boost Even Skintone Daily Moisturizer:

I got a Goldfaden product last month and I really am enjoying it. I am using it as setting spray and it actually seems to work really well. My one problem with this is it’s for uneven skin tone, I don’t have uneven skin tone. I do like Goldfaden products so I am hopeful that this one, even if uneven tone isn’t one of my skin concerns, I still like it when I actually get around to using it.

The Crème Shop Ethereal Glow Ampoule Serum:

Serum’s are not something that I am used to but I have been using them for a little over a year now so getting another one isn’t a bad thing for me. It smells really good and I am hoping that it works well when I actually get to use it. My thing about serum’s is that sometimes they are a little too oily for my skin type and I am hoping that this one isn’t super oily because otherwise there is no way I can use it because too much oil really likes to break my skin out.

Glow on 5th Bye, Bye Puffy Eyes:

Eye creams are amazing and I really enjoy them so I am looking forward to actually having a full sized eye cream again, I usually use sample sizes because that’s what I have. I am really looking forward to integrating this into my beauty routine. I feel like I am saying actually a lot but that’s where I am right now as I am writing this. Anyway, I am really excited to use this.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous Foundation in 120W:

I wish if they offered foundation they would let you choose the shade. This one is fine, it’s about the right shade but I could have used a shade lighter. That is my one complaint about foundations through ISPY is they decide the shade for you in the choice menu, let me choose my shade. I love Anastasia though so I was excited for this to be one of my choice items.

F.A.R.A.H Rendezvous Brush Set:

I love brushes and I don’t have many brushes like these so adding these to my collection. I feel like there isn’t much I can say about brushes besides they are soft and I hope they are effective. I love the shape of the contour brush and I am always a fan of a fluffy highlighting brush for a more diffused glow highlighter look so adding this set to my collection is great.

Overall this month I didn’t feel like I was given many choices but I liked everything that I got in my bag. I know that this post is shorter than usual just because I need to get back into the groove of writing blog posts and finding my voice again. Also I am distracted but that is my own fault, it’s been that kind of week.

I have a feeling that my next post will be my regular Glam Bag for February so look forward to that later in the week.  If you want to check out what I got in January, you can!

I hope that everyone has a great start to the week and a safe time out there because it’s been crazy weather these last few weeks.

            -MJ
