Hey hey it’s MJ,
Happy almost official winter everyone, I hope that everyone has survived thus far in the most hectic month of the year. I swear that people lose their minds during December and it is insanity, I feel like I have been almost hit a dozen times while on the road since about Thanksgiving and I don’t even live in a place where it snows. (frequently, we may have half an inch a year or so)

I was really excited to get this box after seeing spoilers on social media and I was waiting for it to ship, well last Friday I finally got the shipping confirmation so I checked it because I was at work expecting to get it sometime this week or late next week with the holiday and at the top it said “delivered” so it was outside my door when I got home. I was a little confused as to why I got an email on the 14th and it shipped on the 2nd or so. Who knows.

I feel like there were less items in this box than in boxes prior and there were more choices under each category, for instance instead of three choices there were some that had four or more and that to me is too many to choose from. But I liked this box for sure more than I liked the fall box, hands down.
So what did I get?

First up was something that I did in fact choose, because I am a seasonal member I have the option on most boxes to pick three items or let them surprise me but I feel like allowing me to choose makes sure that I like what comes in my box and for the most part I am not let down. The item that I chose was the Kate Somerville Goat Milk Moisturizing Cream. Kate Somerville is one of those brands that I have heard about for quite some time now but have never ventured into buying because of the price point, it’s a little out of my regular every day budget so I like getting good skin care items in boxes like this because it gives me a chance to try them without sinking the full purchase price into them. I don’t know how to describe the scent of skin care products very often, they just smell like good skin care should and I cannot put an exact fragrance on that. It has jojoba and avocado in it and I am hoping that I enjoy it as much as I hope I will. The other options were the Unhide Lil’ Marshmallow faux fur blanker, R+Co Television Perfect Shampoo and Conditioner, the Johathan Adler Fleur De Sel Ceramic Candle, or the Rebecca Minkoff Marbled Beanie and Armwear Set.

Next up was again another choice that I made, the Ban.do Bluetooth Shower Speaker, yes it is as loud and ridiculous as the concept of a shower speaker is. I have yet to charge it and try it out but I am hopeful that it sticks to my shower wall and works because I used to listen to music in the shower all the time. Many a bathroom dance party almost ended in tragedy because dancing and a wet floor never go together. It has a really loud pattern and Ban.Do is pretty much known for their loud patterns so I wasn’t shocked but it actually is a really nice looking speaker over all. The other options on this one were the LashesMD Eyelash Conditioner, the PJ Salvage Faux Fur Cable Slippers, or the Erno Laszlo Pore Cleansing Mask.

This was the final item I chose this time because three is the limit for seasonal members, the Adore by Swarovski Organic Circle Bracelet in Rose Gold. I am one of those people who loves rose gold and it was probably because it was so trendy for years but I like copperier tones anyway and I am not a huge fan of yellow gold to begin with so I have a quiet/not so quiet love of rose gold. I like the bracelet it’s really simple and really could be worn either way either with the crystal out or the smooth side out. It is a really delicate chain which isn’t ideal when you have broken most of your nails in the last week or so, stupid winter. It’s really beautiful though and I really like it. The other choices were the Battington Lashes Monroe 3D Silk Lashes and Glue Kit, Karuna Face for All Face and Eye Mask Set, or the Rodial Soft Focus Glow Drops.

This next item I was so excited about when I saw it online, I have been following Beauty Bakerie for well over a year now and every time I walk passed their display in Ulta I think Today is the day but it never is. I love their products and the creativity of the brand itself, so inventive with their product packaging and their products themselves. This is the Proof is in the Puddin’ Eyeshadow Palette and I am so happy to have it! I love a good neutral palette even though I have so many of them but this one has such a good balance between mattes and shimmers which is sometimes hard to find with nine pan shadow palettes. Five mattes and four shimmer and I am excited to give it a try. The other options for this were the Lxmi Pure Nilotica Melt, Vooray Sidekick Crossbody Bag, Paper Source 12 Month Rose Floral Planner.

Next, I got the Vera Mona Color Switch Solo which is a brush cleaner, to help switch between eyeshadow colors without having to wash the brush out. I am notorious for using the same brush and just letting pigment build up which makes it a little harder to clean so this is actually a pretty cool product and it’s washable just like you would wash makeup brushes so that’s really cool over all. I feel like I am just saying everything is cool but this box really brought it. The other options for this were the Ahava Salt Bag ir the Frank Body Original Coffee Scrub.

One more choice kind of item and that was just between two items, I got the Inc.Credible Nailsinc Thirsty Hand mask Duo, I have never done a hand mask, I have a foot mask and I am too afraid to try it because it is one of those baby feet things that peel everything off but these look really interesting, they are gloves and they contain plant extracts, shea butter, and vitamin E so they are good for your skin so I will for sure give them a try. The other option was the Cuccio Somatology Calm+Clean Epsom Salt Hand and Body Wash.

The final two things in this box were in every box and I love both of them. The first was the Drybar Prep Rally Prime and Prep Detangler, again Drybar is one of those places that I think is super boujee so I don’t think I have ever owned any of their products before but I have wanted to understand the hype around them so having even just a detangler from them might open my eyes to a whole new world of hair care because I have for sure been getting into more nad more hair care because my hair is a mess. (Hasn’t been cut in a year, I stopped dying it by accident and it’s just a travesty. It looks good and it’s longer than it’s ever been but I have for sure recently been taking more time to make sure it’s treated properly.

The last item in the box made me grin for a solid minute while I unboxed it because I have coveted this item for well over a year and I never bought one because I just didn’t and that is the Makeup Eraser in the original pink. I almost bought one and I am so glad I didn’t because I saw people were posting that this was in the box and I was ecstatic because that means I get to cut down a little bit more on single use items like makeup wipes! I love the idea of it and finally owning on is like an early Christmas present! It’s so soft and I am hoping that it works as well as I have seen online.
After the semi-disappointment of the fall box in my opinion FabFitFun really brought it with the winter box, lots of choices which is nice but it’s also a lot. Maybe putting one more item in the box and taking one of the choices out would have been really cool. I love my winter box and I cannot wait for spring!
If you subscribe what was your favorite item from this time around? If you don’t what would you like to see them come out with?
I’ll see everyone over the weekend with another post!
