Hey hey it’s MJ,
So ipsy announced that next month they are making some changes to their services including a $2 increase a month. BirchBox did this earlier in the year and I understand this need to change and evolve with the times and with the market around your brand. I won’t be discontinuing my ipsy subscriptions, I am still in love with the subscription service so there will still be unbaggings and things.

If you are interested in seeing the changes or signing up then you can go check out their website.
This post contains only my opinions, as it always does.

The bag actually is one of my all-time favorites in the last 17 months since I started getting the glam bag. (I started in April of last year and if my math is right it is 17 months.) The bag is a salmon like color with constellations covering the front and the zipper pull is my favorite of all time, it’s a little crystal and I love it so much.
So onto the products, each month they usually do pretty well at curating things that I really enjoy and this month is no different.
Skin&Co. Roma Truffle Therapy Shimmering Oil

I don’t hve a lot of facial oils because some of the oils are too much for my face and I break out more than I should, though I like Skin&Co. and I love it. It has truffle in it so from what I know about truffles they are good for your skin. I am always looking for a good moisturizer and I am willing to try pretty much anything. This product was probably the most left field thing that I got in my bag this month.
Smashbox Cosmetics Studio Skin 15 Hour Hydrating Foundation in 0.3 Neutral

Smashbox is a great brand and I have loved them since I pretty much started wearing makeup but I have never used their foundation before. This is not a bad color match so I am actually really excited to give it a try. I have been finding that unfortunately I have to use a higher end foundation because in many cases drug store foundations (that I have tried) don’t seem to work with my skin and I have more breakouts as well. I don’t know what it is and I don’t know why but that is the trend that I have noticed.
Coola Mineral SPF30 Sun Silk Crème

So Coola is a brand that I am for sure aware of and really like, I have used their sunscreen before and its great. This even says that it protects against infrared and blue light which I didn’t even know was a huge issue when it comes to sun exposure. The more you know right? It’s a good travel size for facial sunscreen and because I have had experience with the brand before I know that it shouldn’t have any adverse reactions with my skin.
IBY Beauty Highlighter in Private Jet

I love highlighters and anyone who is not new to my blog for sure already knows that. The color leans more toward the gold tones, the formula goes on pretty smooth and it is pretty highly pigmented. I have many highlighters and I’m going to be honest, do I need anymore? No, am I going to get more and love every single one? Yes, yes I will. I have a few travel sized highlighters and this is actually a similar shade that I wear pretty frequently so that’s always exciting because it means that on trips I don’t have to take a full sized product with me.
Ofra Cosmetics X Madison Miller Blush in Ollie Need is Love

So last but not least this is full sized product and it is a beautiful almost coral shade, the insert calls the color a terracotta peach. Blush is a really subjective product, like foundation it takes certain skin tones and for me this would be more of a summer blush. I don’t wear blush very often as it is but I do really like the brand and the color.
That’s it for my bag and it was pretty great overall. I am excited to see the changes that come in the coming months when it comes to ipsy’s changes including new customization and a whole new box; I will be sticking with my glam bag and my glam bag plus and not going for the ultimate.
If you want to know what i have gotten in the rest of my Glam Bags this year you can, just click on the month, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, and August.
Do you subscribe to ipsy? What was your favorite product that you got in your bag this month?
I’ll be back on Wednesday with my Septmeber Glam Bag Plus unboxing and I can promise; the products are pretty great.
Have a great rest of the weekend and the beginning of your week!
See you next time,
-MJ
